Mallu, Iqbal Khan

Mallu, Iqbal Khan
(?-1405)
Mallu, entitled Iqbal Khan, was a slave of Nasir al-Din Muhammad Shah Tughlaq (1390-1394) who figured prominently in the factional tussle that broke out after Mah-mud Shah's accession in 1394. At the time of Timur's invasion (1398), he was controlling Delhi as the wazir of Mahmud Shah. He was ousted from there by the invader but returned soon after Timur's withdrawal. Mallu Khan was killed in 1405 in a battle with Khizr Khan, the then governor of Multan.
